A New Iconic Oyster
The Oyster 565 is our new, award-winning blue water sailing yacht, part of our sixth Generation (G6) fleet of Oyster sailing yachts. Using the latest Oyster hull shapes developed with Humphreys Yacht Design, the 59.3 ft Oyster 565 is designed for easy family and couples sailing without the need for professional crew.
Crafted from years of experience building over 120 Oyster 56 and Oyster 575 blue water sailing yachts, the new Oyster 565 takes Oyster’s premium sailboat design to the next level. The latest twin-rudder hull form, shared with the rest of the current range, provides a well-balanced steering system while facilitating many different layout and keel options. These include a supershoal with centreboard for navigating shallow waters and or extended transom which offers more space to entertain when outdoors.
Many of our World Rally participants have sailed around the world on this model’s predecessors, and with improved design the Oyster 565 offers an even higher level of comfort for long-distance ocean cruising or global circumnavigation. This new sailing yacht is also just as suited to shorthanded weekend sailing in the Med, offering a luxurious base upon which to spend time with the family, or for high-speed cruising along the coast. Sleek, customisable interior design ensures that wherever in the world you are, your blue water sailboat will feel like home.

The Next Generation Oyster
The 565 condenses countless sea-miles and owner feedback over last 25 years into one our new generation of G6 yachts, balancing powerful lines and enhanced performance with improved features over our older models.
Our sub 60 foot sailboat design provides an extremely comfortable shorthanded sailing experience for families and couples alike. Faster and sleeker than previous models, our Oyster 565 breezes through the seas whichever configuration you choose. The option of a supershoal sail plan with centerboard allows for safe and easy shallow-water sailing, while configuring the yacht with our ‘sports pack’ will enhance its performance in racing events like the Oyster Regattas.
A Stunning & Stylish Yacht
As with all our G6 fleet, Rob Humphreys is responsible for the design of the 565 hull and sail plan, while our experienced in-house team takes great care over the deck design and interior layout.
Our signature Seascape windows in the saloon and master cabin and large windows elsewhere are what make new Oyster yachts iconic, filling the interior spaces with vast quantities of natural light. Our G6 yachts also add our new Skyscape window in the VIP cabin, providing incredible views of the sea and sky - best appreciated with the yacht slightly heeled as you cruise across the ocean! This light also serves to emphasise the impressive amount of living space onboard this sub 60 ft sailing yacht - credit to clever interior design from our team.
A True Home From Home
The first thing to notice about the 565 is the extra space she offers compared to her predecessors, the Oyster 56 and 575. This new blue water sailboat can also provide an essential fourth cabin, perfect for use as an extra bunk or a utility space, meaning you’re free to invite extra guests aboard or hold extra items as you wish. She also comes equipped with a generous sail locker and lazarette to store all the required sailing gear and dive equipment.
As a sub 60ft sailboat, the Oyster 565 matches the headroom and bunk lengths of our larger Oyster superyachts, making her equally as suited to liveaboard sailing. High ceilings throughout the vessel make it a pleasure to spend time below deck, even in the most beautiful destinations. Each cabin is spacious, with the master and VIP both offering incredible Skyscape windows. Large entertaining spaces are the perfect place to host when you’re at dock, with twin loudspeakers in the deck saloon ideal for dancing the night away. The interior is decorated in a contemporary luxury style that is a world away from the traditional boating aesthetic.
Every Oyster is British built, hand-crafted from the highest-quality materials, and the Oyster 565 is no different. The standard joinery is in an American white oak completed with a satin finish, with crown cut walnut-veneered cabin soles in the main saloon. Carpets are present through the master and guest cabins and joinery, surfaces and upholstery can all be modified to suit the Owner’s request, including bespoke woods, fabrics and leathers in many colours, tones and textures. Even the layout can be customised to the owner’s preference, with two standard interior plans to choose from and the option to customise further if you have more specific family and cruising requirements. We aim to deliver the configuration that makes your yacht truly feel like home.
In addition to our focus on design, the Oyster 565 is built with practicality in mind. Notable attributes of this blue water sailboat include good accessibility throughout the vessel, large fuel and water tankage, good ventilation, well-placed handholds, modern systems and a galley that can be used comfortably at sea - all features you would expect from an Oyster, developed with our experience of building yachts with over 20 million blue water sailing miles between them.

2017 Best Luxury Cruiser
The Oyster Yachts 565 model was selected by the public as the winner of Best Luxury Cruiser in the Sailing Today Awards 2017. Her victory was attributed to her luxury feel, versatility, and fit for shorthanded family sailing. We were honoured to have had so many voters choose our sub 60ft sailing yacht from the nominees, a testament to her brilliant design.
Choose between two different Oyster 565 interior layouts to configure your yacht. Traditionally the master is positioned aft, with the two guest cabins forward. However, the Oyster 565 introduces - for the first time ever - a layout with the master cabin forward. In this format, the aft can remain as another large cabin or can be changed to two double cabins for hosting more guests.
Different sail and rig combinations are also available to better optimise your yacht for the Oyster World Rally, regattas, or coastal cruising. Choose between a supershoal centreboard option for safe, shallow water cruising, or our extended transom option with our standard keel.
