Oyster Triumphs At The 2018 Monaco Yacht Show

The 2018 Monaco Yacht Show saw Port Hercules fill with 120 superyachts, over 500 exhibitors and countless visitors browsing the incredible array of motor and sailing yachts for sale. What better place for Oyster to exhibit?

Monaco is one of our favourite Oyster Yachts events to attend and we had a fantastic four days talking to a mixture of buyers, owners and anyone else passing the stand, filling them in on all the exciting progress that we have made in the past year.

Oyster’s Success At The 2018 Monaco Yacht Show

Oyster has a solid history exhibiting in Monaco, having transitioned into building bigger yachts in the last ten years, and both the Oyster 885 blue water cruiser and the 1225 model would have been suitable for displaying at the 2018 Monaco Yacht Show. However, this year we focused on sharing our latest successes from our stand. We have achieved a lot since coming under Richard Hadida’s ownership earlier this year, and the Oyster Family is stronger for it.

The 2018 Monaco Yacht Show was a chance to show people what the Oyster brand stands for today. We were lucky to have a large team in attendance including people from our new boats team, our brokerage team, US charter team and senior management team, with Richard Hadida and Eddie Jordan appearing in a superyachts.com interview before heading out to the Oyster Regatta in Palma. And as with all Oyster Yachts events, it was also a great opportunity to catch up with some of our current owners.

Our plans for the Monaco Yacht Show 2019

Next year, we are planning for an even bigger presence in Monaco and we hope to be able to bring one or two of our larger vessels to display. A lot of people at the 2018 Monaco Yacht Show showed interest in our flagship Oyster 1225 luxury expedition yacht, and so next year’s show may be an opportunity for prospective owners experience her up close. However, whichever yachts we bring, we will look forward to talking to more of you and welcoming new people to the Oyster Family.

Until then, the biggest of our upcoming Oyster Yachts events is the Düsseldorf International Boat Show in January, which we will attend with our popular Oyster 675. For anyone who didn’t make it to Monaco this year, we hope to see you in Germany!
