To Last Forever

Saturday 5 April 2014 marked the official end of the inaugural Oyster World Rally, organised to celebrate the 40th birthday of Oyster Yachts. Owners, sailors and friends of the 30,000 mile odyssey gathered in Nelson's Dockyard for a day and a night never to be forgotten.

Oysters on the Dock

The celebrations for the final chapter of the Oyster World Rally commenced in style on Friday 4 April with a Mount Gay Rum Welcome Drinks Party on the Superyacht Dock at English Harbour. An extended Oyster family of well over 200 people enjoyed a laid-back dock party, surrounded by the magnificent Oyster fleet.

A Bed of Oysters

The largest gathering of Oyster Yachts, in the British manufacturer's 40 year history, is now in Antigua, West Indies. Over 50 Oysters and hundreds of sailors have come to the Caribbean to celebrate the final chapter of the inaugural Oyster World Rally, followed by the Oyster Regatta Antigua.

One Life - Live It

The inaugural Oyster World Rally will come to an end in Antigua this April, where it all started back in January 2013. During the last 16 months, 26 examples of the Oyster range have travelled over 30,000 miles. Oyster owners, their guests and crew have witnessed an amazing diversity of wildlife, as well as social and cultural differences and the Oyster World Rally family has bonded together forming friendships that will last a lifetime.

Caipirinhas and Los Candelas

Our stay in Salvador has been hosted by the prestigious Yate Club de Bahia just along the waterfront from our berths at the Bahia Marina, Brazil. A lavish party was hosted at the yacht club, and was a chance for our participants to meet members of the club, along with the Secretaries of Bahia Tourism and the Ministry of Industry, Mining and Commerce who are responsible for yachting and shipping in the stunning All Saints Bay.

Coming Home

The Oyster World Rally fleet have now crossed the Atlantic, the last ocean passage of the 16-month Oyster odyssey around the world. The next Oyster World Rally rendezvous will be in March at Port Louis Marina, Granada W.I. The rally will come to an end in Antigua, this April, after a truly amazing adventure.

Oyster success in French Polynesia

The Tahiti Pearl Regatta is probably the most famous regatta in French Polynesia. This year over 50 yachts took part, bolstered by eleven magnificent examples of Oyster Yachts. The record entry for the regatta was largely due to the arrival of the Oyster World Rally in French Polynesia.
