Have you seen the latest issue of Boat International? The August 2015 issue is called “The British issue” and celebrates “the remarkable yachting talent that springs from our shores.” There is a superb article that begins on page 128 written by Tim Thomas on the Oyster 825 entitled “The Oyster is your World”. Since her exciting debut at the Dusseldorf Show in January and the Oyster Private View at St. Katharine Docks in early May, Oyster 825, Maegan showed her paces at her first regatta where she successfully competed in the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta held in Porto Cervo, Sardinia in June 2015. Maegan then went on to up her game in the Superyacht Cup in Palma, where she not only won her Class, but came second overall!
Oyster 825, Maegan, is signed up and the crew are looking forward to racing in our Oyster Regatta in Palma 29 September – 03 October, where she will line up against five other 80ft+ Oysters. Following her charter season in the Caribbean, she is registered to take part in St Barth’s Bucket in March 2016, Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta in June 2016 as well as our own Oyster Regatta in Antigua in April.
With over 30 80ft+ Oysters eligible for these Superyacht events, we will work with the Owners to add the half dozen Superyacht events to the Oyster Regatta Calendar going forward. We aim to do it in such a way that it complements and does not distract from our focus on the more than 700 deck saloons who we hope will continue to come to our family-orientated exclusive Oyster Regattas.
