Oyster 118 - setting records in the UK
The tooling for the build of the Oyster 118 is nearly complete and the first parts are being moved from Poole in Dorset to Marine Concepts at their base in HMS Daedalus near Portsmouth.
The two halves of the topside mould are the first pieces to move and these are the longest loads ever to be moved by road in the county of Dorset! They are too big to reach their destination by road and will complete their journey by barge from Southampton docks and then craned off into place. Once set up in the 45m x 60m shed, the hull moulding of Oyster 118-01 will start in early November. On completion the Hull & Deck will be moved by barge to Oyster's Southampton shipyard.
