Dan Wurzbacher

Dan joined Oyster’s Newport office in 2011 following a career with a leading international brokerage. Prior to coming ashore he held various positions aboard, starting in 2003 and culminating with his captaincy of S/Y Argo, a 110’ Langan Design Schooner. While at sea, Dan completed crossings of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans, and accumulated over 50,000 miles of blue-water cruising experience, including extensive landfalls and oversight of several major refits. Dan is married with a young son and resides in Jamestown, Rhode Island.

Will White
Customer Support Manager, Oyster USA

Will White

Will grew up in Bristol, Rhode Island and from a young age spent every free moment out on the water. Later he worked his way up from deckhand to engineer and finally captain. After running an Oyster 56 for Oyster’s founder, Richard Matthews, Will joined our USA office in Newport, Rhode Island, and has spent the last 17 years helping our US based owners with their commissioning and customer service enquiries.

Richard Gibson
Sales Director – UK & Ireland

Richard Gibson

Having started sailing on the east coast from an early age, Richard progressed from racing dinghies and keelboats into ocean sailing, and can now often be found assisting our owners at various regattas and events around the world. Having worked within various sectors of the marine industry since leaving university, Richard has a background of yachting experience that greatly assists his ability to guide clients with credible knowledge and advice.

Stephen Parkinson
Sales Director – Rest of World

Stephen Parkinson

Stephen joined Oyster in 2002 following a career in finance. Initially working in our After Sales department, he then progressed into Project Management before joining the Sales team in 2013. A keen sailor with over 30,000 miles under his belt, Stephen has a wealth of Oyster knowledge and his passion and enthusiasm make him a key member of the new boat Sales team. Stephen also enjoys family life with two young daughters.

Michael Bell
Sales Representative – Australia

Michael Bell

Bitten by the sailing bug when he was 10 years old, Michael has since spent as much time on the water as possible. His expertise is founded on hundreds of thousands of nautical miles, covered on many world-wide regattas. These include 12 Sydney to Hobarts (one of the toughest yacht races in the world) and the Fastnet twice. He has also taken part in the America’s Cup and Admiral’s Cup, crossed the Atlantic and cruised widely in the Pacific Ocean. Michael has worked in the USA and Australia as a yacht builder and has also created masts and riggings for yachts around the globe. Based in Sydney, Australia, he has worked in luxury boat sales for over 20 years. Michael is married with four children.

Jamie Collins
Director | Head of Brokerage – Rest Of World

Jamie Collins

Jamie joined Oyster Brokerage having run a well established brokerage office in Palma for four years. Having worked in the Marine trade since he was 18, Jamie has raced all over the world competing in the Admirals Cup to winning Key West Race Week. More recently sailing on the Superyacht Cup circuit where the racing is of a more leisurely style. Other than racing he has acquired an in-depth knowledge of sailing yachts, sails and hardware from working with some of the best in the industry.

Rupert Knox-Johnston

Rupert has more than twenty years’ experience selling pre-owned Oyster yachts with Oyster Brokerage. He was taught to sail by his uncle Sir Robin Knox-Johnston back in the 1980s.

Lani Heuer
Brokerage Assistant

Lani Heuer

Lani, a native German speaker, has worked for Oyster for over 22 years and built up a wealth of experience and knowledge during that time in her support roles. Her love for boats and the water have meant holidays were spent exploring the calmer waters of the UKs inland waterways.

Alison Valentine
Brokerage Assistant

Alison Valentine

Ali joined the Oyster Palma team in 2019 having crewed professionally in the yachting industry since 2010. During these years a majority of her experience onboard consisted of working on numerous Oyster Yachts, the biggest of which was the 825, ran as a team of two.

Over the years Ali has sailed over 25,000 miles, has always had a busy programme of both private and charter usage, with ever-changing scenery, one of which briefly involved embracing the rolling seas in South East Asia on a 30m Jongert spotting offshore oil rigs.

Fiona McCarthy
Head of Charter

Fiona McCarthy

Fiona hails from Dublin, Ireland, and grew up sailing in Dublin Bay and the Northern Loughs. She read Chemical Oceanography at Southampton University before she embarked on her career as an Oceanographer in Bermuda.

Her passion for yachting soon took her out to sea again, and she went on to work on yachts (predominantly sailing yachts) for 15 years as Chef, Mate and Purser. This has given Fiona an extensive knowledge of superyachts as well as many fantastic cruising areas including the Eastern and Western Mediterranean, the Caribbean, the Bahamas, East Coast USA and Pacific Mexico.
Her experience afloat gives her great insight into putting together the perfect charter for you.

Fiona joins us after nearly seven years as a charter broker with Fraser Yachts in Palma.

Allie Smith
Oyster World Rally Director

Allie Smith

Allie raced around the world and upwind through the Southern Ocean and has sailed over 50,000 miles. She is now on a much calmer route as Oyster World Rally Director. Allie has over 25 years of experience working in Operations and Logistics in the sailing industry and has worked alongside some of the UK's top sailors and yachting greats. She has managed events worldwide and has been involved in some of the most prestigious international yacht races personally and professionally. She also ran her own RYA Sailing School for 13 years teaching novices to sail and race. Allie is super excited to lead the Oyster World Rally team and support the dreams of those participating in the Oyster World Rally 2022-23.

Millie Bolingbroke

Millie Bolingbroke

Millie has been in the Oyster family for over 8 years having spent 3 years crewing Oyster Yachts professionally, including the Oyster World Rally 2017-19. For the past 5 years Millie has been creating unique and memorable experiences for the Oyster family, running Oyster Regattas, Rendezvous and special dinners, and looks forward to seeing you at an Oyster event very soon.

Rachel Robinson

Rachel Robinson

Rachel caught the sailing bug from her Grandad and has worked in the sailing industry since 2014. She has helped numerous Oyster owners as part of our world-famous Oyster After Sales team for the last three years. Before this, she delivered boats, ran charters, crewed on Oyster yachts and took part in the last Oyster World Rally as crew on two Oyster 575s – Miss Tiggy and Ayesha II. Rachel takes great pride in helping people achieve their dreams. She is part of the Oyster Support Team and is looking forward to looking after the fleet as it makes its way around the world.

Dee Addy
After Sales Manager

Dee Addy

Dee runs the After Sales department and has worked for Oyster for over 15 years, with 22 years experience in the marine industry. Having lived in Guernsey and South Africa Dee relocated to Norfolk to work for Oyster in Wroxham 8 years ago, previously working for Oyster in Ipswich.

She enjoys the challenges that After Sales are faced with on a daily basis and building up relationships with owners and skippers. Dee is passionate about supporting our Oyster owners and with the help of her team who are based in Wroxham, Ipswich and Southampton and endeavour to deliver a first class service. With over 500 Oyster yachts that use the After Sales service from 45 year old boats to new boats the department is extremely busy. She prides herself with the fact that Oyster owners get constant support throughout their ownership.

Jacqui Evans
After Sales Coordinator

Jacqui Evans

Jacqui started in the sailing industry in Palma, Mallorca initially crewing onboard a Motor yacht and progressing onto sailing yachts, enjoying working in both the Mediterranean and Caribbean and crewed onboard a classic schooner from South America up to the East Coast of America, as well as racing in the Mediterranean. Since returning ashore she has worked for many years with Oyster Yachts, involved in various aspects of the business including being involved with the inaugural Oyster World Rally in 2013. Jacqui is now working within the After Sales Team who endeavour to assist owners in their use and enjoyment of their yachts.

Polly Dawson
AFTER SALES COORDINATOR

Polly Dawson

Polly has been working in the marine industry since she was 16 – doing her first trans-Atlantic at 17. Having spent much of her career working around the world on various Round the World Races and racing yachts she now dedicates her spare time to getting her children out on the water. She loves looking after people which really suits her role in the Aftersales Team.

Kate Pryce

Kate joined the Oyster build team in 2003 after working as a cabinet maker for many years. She moved to the After Sales team in 2014 and her knowledge of the construction of Oysters is invaluable. She is able to discuss the joinery construction as well as the timbers and finishes used.

Paul Norris
After Sales Coordinator

Paul Norris

Paul joined Aftersales after 3 years in the Oyster Purchasing Dept. He brings over 30 years Supply Chain experience from working in various sectors such as Aerospace, Construction and Oil & Gas.

After several years working as a buyer for an Offshore helicopter operator he spent 5 years working in Client Liaison where he realised he enjoyed working with customers as much as he did with suppliers. This was one of the main factors for him joining the Aftersales team when the opportunity arose.

Mark Durham
Operations Manager, Oyster Palma

Mark Durham

Mark Durham joined the Oyster team after working as a Yacht Captain for 12 years. In addition to over 100,000 sea-miles, including the Southern Ocean and Antarctica, he brings with him the experience of having sailed and run a number of private and charter yachts worldwide. Mark ensures the satisfaction of both owners and crew as Operations Manager in Palma de Mallorca.

Steve Colley

Steve Colley

Steve has enjoyed boating from a very early age and came into the Marine Industry in the early 90`s following premature retirement after 18 years as a Firefighter. Initially with Splashdown Marine Clothing and Simpson-Lawrence, he joined Hunton Powerboats in 1998 as installation engineer, becoming General Manager in 2002. Joining the Oyster Service & Refit Department in 2011, he has been responsible for a number of major refit projects across the Oyster range both in the Southampton yard and overseas. Steve joined the Palma team as Service Manager as of the 1st August 2017.

Charlie Durham
Head of Crew

Charlie Durham

Charlie first met Oyster in 2002 as crew on an adventurous world-cruising Oyster 66. After 30,000+ cruising miles in some remote parts of the world including Cape Horn and Antarctica followed by several years of crewing on Med-Caribbean charter sailing yachts, she has a rounded insight into the luxury yachting and crewing industry.

Charlie joined the Oyster Palma team in 2014 and has worked in a variety of departments firstly assisting in Brokerage and running the Palma Regatta, then moving to set up the Oyster Crew service in 2017. She is now dedicated to helping Oyster Owners and potential crew candidates in their search for crew or employment on Oyster yachts.
