The Oyster 72 Luskentyre is a stunning yacht with a steel grey hull and a sleek profile. The 72 offers a blend of speed and comfort for guests to enjoy a comfortable holiday while experiencing the thrill of sailing an Oyster.
The cockpit features a comfortable and secure seating or dining area that is just forward of the twin helm station. Down below is a spacious saloon for dining, relaxing or watching movies.
The guest accommodations are for six guests in three cabins comprised of a master cabin aft with an ensuite head, a double cabin port aft with access to a head and shower and a starboard bunk cabin which shares the port head. The crew are located forward of the galley and have a separate head and shower.
Tom and Georgie have been working in the yachting industry together for the past two years, in this time they have run luxury charter and private yachts across the Med and Caribbean and have spent time sailing and exploring Scandinavia and South coast UK. This fun and young couple, who both hail from sailing backgrounds, aim to create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere on board Luskentyre.
Tom grew up on the River Stour, Essex and has been sailing since he was seven, he competed in dinghy classes to a national level, and quickly progressed onto yacht racing. Tom has raced a number of large sailing yachts including a 12 metre, a 60ft Fife, Oysters and a number of Grand Prix race yachts in Regatta’s across the UK, Med and Caribbean both inshore and offshore. As well as Tom’s racing experience, he has been working in the charter yacht world since the age of 18, starting as a deck hand and progressing upwards to now be skipper. He is a commercially endorsed Yachtmaster Offshore, with 7 transatlantic crossings and over 50,000 sea miles under his belt. Tom also holds his Padi Open Water certificate and is a keen diver.
Georgie similarly grew up sailing off the coast of Essex, starting in dinghies and progressing onto yachts. After completing a degree in English, Georgie decided to join Tom for a life on the high seas, and hasn’t looked back since. Georgie now has 25,000 sea miles and 2 transatlantic crossings to her name, and holds her RYA Day Skipper certificate. Having completed a diploma in cookery from the renowned Ashburton Cookery School, Georgie has continued to expand and develop her cooking skills. She has a passion for locally sourced fresh food, and this passion comes across in her delicious and well-presented dishes. Georgie aims to make meal times on board a sociable and enjoyable part of a charter, spoiling her guests with fresh and vibrant dishes.
